JAN HAMMER GROUP - LIVE IN DALLAS

Jan Hammer Group - 2014 - Live In Dallas

Info: Live recording 1977, released 2014

Another stunning live concert performance by the Jan Hammer Group. This one from early 1977 in Dallas, Texas. Unlike the LIVE In NEW YORK that is also available, this concert has material from the Group’s album MELODIES and a version of Jan’s classic tune “Blue Wind” that he originally wrote and produced for Jeff Beck which appeared on the albums WIRED as well as JEFF BECK with the JAN HAMMER GROUP LIVE.

HAPPY THE MAN OFFSHOOT!

Info: five-piece OBLIVION SUN were formed by Frank Wyatt (keyboards and saxes) and Stanley Whitaker (guitars and vocals), founding members of HAPPY THE MAN, from the ashes of the legendary US 70's prog band. The music played by OBLIVION SUN crosses many genres, while staying true to their progressive roots. The band cite such diverse influences as GENESIS, FRANK ZAPPA, GONG, KING'S X, GENTLE GIANT and XTC, and their live performances are heavily based on improvisation.
