Leonid & Friends - 2017 - Chicagovich - To 50th Anniversary Of The Band Chicago
With love from Russia ;-)
This is amazing!
Info:
In just three short years, Leonid & Friends has blown the minds of
legions of fans with their uncanny ability to capture the spirit,
musicality and fire of American supergroup Chicago.
And what is even more stunning is that Leonid & Friends
hasn’t seen Chicago perform live, yet replicates the band’s complex
arrangements amazingly note for note.
"Chicago has never been in Russia and none of us have
attended their concerts," said Leonid Vorobyev, a
multi-instrumentalist who is the band’s leader. "We have only audio
records and videos (to help us learn Chicago songs)."

You are right...this is amazing...note for note perfect. Cleaner sound and maybe even tighter than the original. I couldn't believe that a cover group could improve on the original...but here it is. What we need now is an LP of original songs in the style of Chicago II.
ReplyDeleteThanks for liking them as i do, i was thrilled when listening to them the first time for accident :-)
DeleteAnd it looks that they are doing a tick better than the original.
Russia has some big surprises in music skills...
When it comes to Chicago we are talking about 42 releases and 12 releases from David Clayton-Thomas, i have them all but i don't think to publish them here because there are a lot of sources in the web. Maybe i will do a brass rock section here because there's a lot of good 'ol stuff out there and harder to find.
